The history of the Horizontal Directional Drilling industry and Cherrington has a common origin.  Martin Cherrington, pioneer in the HDD industry, successfully completed the first Horizontal Directionally Drilled river crossing in the fall of 1971.

Since that time, Cherrington has become synonymous with HDD, worldwide.  Successfully installing hundreds of crossings in the most severe operating and geological conditions, the company has built a reputation for always getting the job done no matter how difficult or challenging.
